“The mind is like the wind and the body like the sand: if you want to see how the wind is blowing, you can look at the sand.” – Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen
The body is the landscape where all our life experiences take place. It’s the home of our thoughts, emotions, breath, soul, memories, fears, hopes, relationships, values, stories….
I’ve been studying the mind-body connection since 1998 and have seen science reveal more and more what many ancient practices have known for thousands of years – the need for mindful and compassionate embodiment. Our connection or disconnection to our body affects our physical and mental/emotional health.
As a mind-body coach I help you discover how your nervous system plays a role in how the body interconnects with your mind and life and how to create more awareness and harmony within this connection.
You will learn more about how your mind, body and all aspects of your inner and outer life is connected and how working with that connection supports your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health and well being.
Through classic and innovative movement and embodied contemplative/mindfulness practices and resources tailored just for you, I help you get more familiar with this landscape of the body and connect to your innate intelligence and wisdom. You will learn to build capacity, to access presence, grounding and kindness for yourself during life’s difficult experiences. Embodied awareness also allows you to be more present to life’s pleasant experiences, relationships, joy, ease and aliveness.
My hope is to create space for others to recover their ability to meaningfully live, move and be.
